Professor Jaclyn Schildkraut is collecting cards for children who have lost a loved in a mass shooting. She is hoping to collect 15,000 cards this year. The deadline for sending a card is December 15, 2019. Professor Schildkraut is a gun violence expert and is on faculty at SUNY Oswego.
“We have 74 kids who lost parents, step-parents, grandparents, siblings in a number of different shootings,” said Schildkraut. “We’re also collecting for several communities — Aurora, Orlando, Newtown, Santa Fe, Pittsburgh, El Paso, Dayton, Odessa/Midland, Las Vegas and Parkland.” – Professor Jaclyn Schildkraut
