Help us turn our CCSU Love Wins Community Drive and Blue Devil Dash 5K into a VIRTUAL success!
The CCSU/Ana Grace Project is sponsoring the 3rd annual Love Wins Community Drive, with the ultimate goal of making a difference in the lives of children, individuals, and families in our community.
Join us between November 21 and December 11
Join in our efforts to support the critical needs of our community with donations of new toys, new winter clothing, personal care items, and non-perishable food* for Maria’s Place and New Britain Youth & Family Services.
This year, in light of the pandemic, we will also be adding a virtual 5K with Run, Walk, or Jog options to support scholarships for CCSU students from the New Britain community. The Blue Devil Dash 5K is the brainchild of Dr. John Tully, department chair and professor of the CCSU Department of History and active New Britain community member.
How can you be part of this amazing event?
Shop: Browse through our Love Wins Community Drive Wish Lists.
Run: Help us raise scholarship dollars to benefit New Britain residents attending CCSU by participating in the Blue Devil Dash 5K. Run, jog, or walk 3.1 miles between November 21 and December 11.
Donate: Because not everyone who loves the Márquez-Greene family, The Ana Grace Project, and CCSU lives locally, we have made electronic giving possible. Your contribution will be earmarked for the exclusive use of The CCSU/Ana Grace Project and the promotion of love winning.
Upload a photo of yourself, your friends or family participating in our events between November 21 and December 11 to social media on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat with the hashtag #CCSULoveWins and/or #CCSUBlueDevilDash!
This December marks the eighth anniversary of the Sandy Hook School shooting, a tragedy that we all remember. Nelba Márquez-Greene, director of Community Advancement at Central CT State University and mother of one of the victims, works on our campus. For the past two years, many of us gathered to send the message of Love Wins” in support of the Márquez-Greene family and in recognition of the spirit of giving. Our community drives in 2018 and 2019 resulted in thousands of toys, food, personal care items, and new clothing that we boxed and delivered to our community partners.
