I am thrilled to invite school nurses everywhere to join an exciting new adventure: Writer’s Camp! I’m honored to serve as one of the camp counselors for this innovative online community created by expert editor and nurse researcher, Leslie H. Nicoll, PhD, MBA, RN, FAAN, specifically designed for nurses who are passionate about the science and art of our profession.
What Is Writer’s Camp?
Writer’s Camp is more than just a website—it’s a vibrant, welcoming community dedicated to writing, editing, and publishing, all with a spirit of encouragement and excellence. Leslie chose the camp metaphor because, for her, camp was always a place of fun, friendship, and learning. Her goal? To recreate that joyful, supportive atmosphere in a virtual space where nurse writers can connect, grow, and thrive.
While the tone is lighthearted and supportive, Writer’s Camp is grounded in purpose: writing and publishing are serious endeavors that require commitment and skill. The camp was created to help nurse authors of all levels and nurse editors develop those skills, with a generous dose of fun and fellowship along the way.
