Bio: Antonette Montalvo I am a wife and mother, a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and co-founder of Montalvo International Community Health Initiative – a community-focused project committed to addressing the health disparities seen in vulnerable communities. I carry out my desire to create effective and sustainable change in the lives of children and their families, by impacting the health of the community as a whole and leveraging available resources through strategic collaboration. This desire originated as a result of my work as a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has specialized in delivering primary care to hundreds of children in urban and rural settings.

​I am also someone who has learned to be resilient in the midst of tragedy, transition, and hardships. Because of that, it is my desire to help you stay true to your own dreams and visions despite the heaviness of life circumstances. I want to support you as you write your own story through your own journey, pain, and joy. I want you to understand how to develop as a leader, stay motivated, and leave a legacy.

​My vision is two-fold:

1. I am your Coach or Mentor, as a nursing professional or student (or anyone!), dedicated to influentially inspiring you to be visionary and relevant throughout your nursing journey. Check out Montalvo International. ORG – our virtual community dedicated to educating, supporting, encouraging and inspiring others to live out their one initiative, endeavor, or outreach at a time.

​2. I am your Community Health Consultant dedicated to helping you strategically design and execute initiatives of your own, that will influentially impact the communities you serve.

​Simply put – I am committed to seeing you become a “visionary leader,” live out your own dreams, and transform the landscape of your community or sphere of influence. And, I am passionately dedicated to helping you live a life with purpose and influence.

​My experience:

With over a decade of experience in developing health education, promotion, and initiatives, both nationally and internationally, I will help equip you with the tools you need to craft your own passionately compassionate initiatives as you dare to be visionary.

​I desire to blend health and education, and that ultimately played out in my educational pursuits. I completed my first degree in Education with a minor in Spanish from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. I later completed my Bachelors in Science and Masters in Science in Pediatric Primary Care with a minor in Global Health Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This was after living and traveling extensively throughout Central America and the Caribbean, which solidified my belief that cultural competency and sensitivity is a key to establishing effective relationships with patients and families.

 So, I challenge you to ask yourself – “so what are YOU gonna do with your life?”
