Maintaining mental wellness was the topic of the day when I interviewed two professionals on the front lines of providing behavioral health care to children and adults in my school district, Camden, NJ. The discussion is part of a series of public service announcements (PSA) to bring the messaging about COVID19 to the community from familiar and trusted sources.
The second in our series of PSAs is about maintaining mental wellness in the age of COVID19. Joining me in this conversation is Mary Franden, LCSW, Director of Behavioral Health for CAMcare Health Corporation, and therapist Luis Guillen. We tackled many topics that were raised by my families during a Facebook Live event. The concerns of the day included strategies for reducing stress, managing screen time, challenging behaviors, concerns about safety and how to stay calm when you feel angry and stressed.
I appreciate the partnership with CAMcare, a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center, serving my school community and the surrounding area since 1978.
