The Relentless School Nurse: Project Kesher Supports Ukrainian Women & Girls

I cannot sit by idly as we watch the real-time unfolding of what could be World War III in Eastern Europe. When Putin invaded Ukrain under the guise of “denazifying” a country led by a democratically elected Jewish leader, I donated to Project Kesher, an organization that empowers Jewish women in Eastern Europe. Barbara Glickstein, a dear friend and Project Kesher board member first introduced me to their mission and vision.

This is the “ask” from Project Kesher:

Emergency Fund for Women and Girls in Ukraine

Project Kesher is meeting the needs of women and girls in Ukraine as they face the current crisis and the fallout, including those who need to relocate. The funds will follow the people in need.

Current needs include transportation and accommodations for those who are fleeing cities under attack. Future needs are hard to determine at this time, but we are in daily touch with our leadership in Ukraine. Whether people choose to stay or evacuate, Project Kesher will be with the women wherever they are.

If you have any questions about your donation or the allocations, please email us and we will respond as soon as possible.
