The Relentless School Nurse: The Top 5 Blogs of 2022

It’s that time of year again; let’s review the top 5 blog posts of 2022! There is no surprise that the majority of the top blog posts are COVID-related. Thank you to all of the readers of my blog, especially friends and colleagues who have left messages, both public and private. My deepest appreciation to everyone who has contributed a guest blog post! I am always happy to publish guest posts, especially stories from school nurses across the country!

Here is some data for those who love number crunching! The cumulative number of visitors to my website is closing in on 400,000. I have published over 900 posts since the inception (2017) of The Relentless School Nurse and more than 5,000 followers on my Facebook page. Instagram is a relatively new platform for me and I have yet to make a TikTok, even though my daughters think I should! I am still hanging out on Twitter because of the supportive community that has embraced my work.

Let’s collectively welcome 2023 as the year that COVID is finally in our rearview mirror! One can hope that it comes to be true! We are certainly on high alert entering this new year with COVID, the Flu, and RSV staring us in the face, hopefully, you are still masking. I hope that when I review 2023, the majority of the top 5 blog posts will not be COVID-related.

Here is a friendly reminder that I am still hosting virtual confidential school nursing support groups two Sunday evenings a month from 7 pm – 8 pm. Here are the dates for this winter, contact me via relentlessschoolnurse@gmail.com for a link to our Zoom. Although it says for New Jersey school nurses, all are welcome!

Extra special gratitude to all of the school nurses who have joined our group since October 2020! This group has been a lifeline during COVID and we have grown together through our darkest days, weeks, months, and years! The school nurse support groups are sponsored by the Mental Health Association in New Jersey.  Here is to a happy, healthy, and safe 2023!
