I proudly date myself as a child of the 70’s singer songwriter musical genre. We know them by their first names; Joni, Carole, James, Janice, Carly, just to name a few. Last night, the brilliant musical and visual artistry of Joni Mitchell was celebrated. The PBS special is linked below, worth every precious moment of the 1 hour, 24 minutes and 6 seconds! Congratulations to Joni Mitchell for being celebrated as a Library of Congress Gershwin Prize recipient.
The best part of the evening was that my adult daughter called me to be sure that I was watching! Soon, both of my adult daughters and I were live texting the experience. Music is healing, I recommend watching almost 90 minutes of celebrating Joni, it will refresh you on a cellular level.

I am so glad you are enjoying this amazing tribute. I am re-listening this morning too…on a very rainy day
I watched and applauded Joni from my chair at home.
When she sang at the end I thought “ she’s still got it”.
Her voice clear and poetic as always.
I am so glad you enjoyed it too!
